If you were training last week Friday, I asked you all which of the 4 mindset categories I listed above describes you best.
We concluded, that it totally depends.
Thinking of mindset in these 4 categories means we will flow between them all in different circumstances. That's just fine. 💪
So let me explain each category briefly.
Victim mindset -
You think like this.
The reason you are not living the life you want to live is because of x,y & x.
Simply deflecting ownership and pushing it somewhere else.
Pessimist mindset -
You think like this.
It’s not your fault but you think “This sucks” and you just keep going, doing the same thing.
This is a negative state. We don’t perform well in this state.
Optimist -
You think like this.
The future is brighter than the past. You think tomorrow will be butter just because it’s tomorrow… It will be all sunshine and rainbows.
In most cases, you will outperform the pessimist. NOT all.
So, the last one.
Realist -
We should want to be here. But it's damn hard.
You see that there is good, bad, hardship, and joy. They will all happen at some point in your life. Maybe they already have.
But you know, you have to go through this.
Although you know there is good or bad you don’t know if the situation in front of you will be good or bad…
Sometimes we don’t have enough perspective yet to really label them as good or bad.
You accept these things as a part of life. And you work on the challenge that is in front of you. Even if it's incredibly hard.
Being a realist rarely happens naturally. You need to train it.
Start by training it like this.
Ackonwling which of the 4 mindsets you are turning to when a life challenge pops up.
Make a note.
Ackonwling alone is going to be incredibly beneficial.
Give it a go.
