I touched on this topic a few posts ago. When I was talking about the difference between having the mindsets of a victim, pessimist, optimist, or realist. It also relates to last week's post.
So I thought it deserved a bit more explanation. đ
Growth doesnât happen in our always in our comfort zones.
Whether in training or life, challenges can be driving forces that help us become stronger, fitter, faster, and better versions of ourselves. Which Is our goal.
Think about this for a second. đ§
Muscles grow when they face resistance right?
The same principle applies to our minds.
When we push through difficult workouts or navigate tough life situations, we develop mental toughness and a greater capacity to handle future obstacles. Every challenge you overcome is proof of your ability to endure and most importantly adapt. đ
Last Sunday was a tough training. It was -12 âď¸ and had several challenging movements that required lots of concentration.
Every time you get through a tough training session like this you gain confidence. You prove to yourself that you are capable of more than you thought. Now, can you take this outside of the training environment...
Instead of fearing challenges, embrace them.
They are opportunities to help us reach our goal of becoming fitter, faster, and better versions of ourselves.
Whether in training or life, pushing beyond whatâs easy leads to this.
So challenge yourself. đ¤
